A longtime fixture in Chicago, Bobby Lewis finally had some opportunities to lead his own recording dates in the 1990s (for the local Southport label). A top studio musician with a lyrical jazz style, since 1964 Lewis has appeared on over 6,500 recording sessions, including a countless number of jingles, film scores, and records, usually in fairly anonymous roles.
