Breakdown of Sanity

A seasoned D.I.Y. extreme metal unit based out of Bern, Switzerland, Breakdown of Sanity employ a punishing blend of breakdown-heavy metalcore, post-grunge, and nu-metal. Founded in 2007 by guitarist/songwriter Oliver Stingel (Paranoia) and vocalist Carlo Knöpfel (Nerph), the band soon added bass player César Gonin (Paranoia), drummer Thomas Rindlisbacher (Mortal Hatred), and second guitarist Sandro Keusen (Trinity) to the mix, the latter of whom was replaced in 2009 by Christoph Gygax (Close in Sight, Estate of Embers).
