The traditional music of Portugal is preserved and reinterpreted by eight piece, Portuguese, band, Brigada Victor Jara. Initially featuring traditional acoustic instruments, the band has increasingly incorporated modern instrumentation including synthesizer and electronic keyboards. Taking their name from the assassinated Chilean revolutionary, Victor Jara, Brigada Victor Jara was formed in 1975 by young musicians interested in exploring their cultural roots.
