Brown Spirits

Australian group Brown Spirits play a raw, energetic form of instrumental psychedelia heavily influenced by Krautrock, prog, jazz fusion, and deep funk. Their music features a strong yet flowing rhythm section, analog synths, and lead guitar laced with wah-wah effects, all recorded at home to 1/4-inch tape. The band released a trilogy of albums before signing with Soul Jazz Records, which issued Solitary Transmissions in 2023, followed by Cosmic Seeds in 2025.
