Bruno's Salon Band

In 1970, a group of German trad jazz musicians decided to form a combo that would look more towards 1920's jazz than to dixieland. Named after pianist Peter Mette's guinea pig, Bruno's Salon Band was gigging within a couple months. Ranging from Jelly Roll Morton to Cole Porter in its repertoire, the band recorded for Telefunken in 1972 and 1974, WAM in 1977 and made a Stomp Off CD in 1992.
