Buddy Moreno

b. 14 July 1912, Los Angeles, California, USA. Moreno began his musical apprenticeship in 1933 as a very young singer with the Griff Williams band, based in San Francisco. He also contributed guitar to that band. His next destination was the orchestra led by Dick Jurgens. He recorded widely with Jurgens, appearing on many of his releases for OKeh Records in the early 40s as featured vocalist.
