Formed in late 1980, the Bureau was a high-powered UK octet, several of whose personnel had defected from Dexys Midnight Runners. The line-up comprised Archie Brown (vocals), Pete Williams (bass/vocals), Geoff ‘JB' Blythe (tenor saxophone), Steve Spooner (alto saxophone), Paul Taylor (trombone), Robert Jones (guitar/trumpet/vocals), Mick Talbot (b. 11 September 1958, London, England; keyboards/vocals) and Andy Growcott (percussion).
