Carolyn Currie grew up in Concord, MA, developing an interest in singing, songwriting, and guitar playing as she attended college and graduate school. After settling in Seattle, WA, she self-released her first album, No Heroes, in 1995. It opened doors for her as a writer and performer at such venues as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, the Napa Valley Folk Festival, and the BMI Songwriter's Showcase.
