Caspar Brötzmann

Guitarist and vocalist Caspar Brotzmann formed the Caspar Brotzmann Massaker in 1987 to explore connections between avant jazz and heavy metal. With bassist Eduardo Delgado Lopez he released The Tribe (1987) and Black Axis (1989). The duo added drummer Danny Lommen for Der Abend Der Schwarzen Folklore (1992), Koksofen (1993), and Home (1994). His trio's attack was raucous, disruptive and physical.
