Canadian indie rockers Casper Skulls emerged in 2015 with a dynamic sound that pairs rootsy dream pop and shoegaze with nervy post-punk and soaring alternative rock. The band issued their debut album, Mercy Works, in 2017, which earned a SOCAN Songwriting Prize nomination for the single "Lingua Franca."
