The Cassatt String Quartet has carried out a mission to perform the works of unique contemporary composers since its founding in 1985. Founded by Juilliard graduates Anna Cholakian (cello), Laura Goldberg (violin), Adela Pena (violin), and Eufrosina Raileanu (viola), the group took its name from the Impressionist painter Mary Cassatt.
