Biography
German rapper Celo was born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1982. The son of Bosnian immigrants, Celo worked in a call center where he met fellow rapper Abdi (b. Abderrahim El Ommali on August 7, 1987) in 2008. The two started to collaborate and released a free download mixtape titled Mietwagentape in 2010. The mixtape was popular enough to attract the interest of German rapper Haftbefehl, who signed the duo to his Azzlackz label. Hinterhofjargon, Celo & Abdi's debut album, was released in 2012 and charted at number eight in Germany. ~ Christian Genzel
