Introduced on the Christian hip-hop scene under the name Conviction, rapper Chad Jones dropped the moniker and relaunched his music career after a move to Memphis, Tennessee. Adopted and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jones grew up in a home filled with 11 kids. Hip-hop was introduced while in high school, with Christian hip-hop introduced after adulthood and redemption. After releasing the album Soul Food in 2009 and making a handful of guest appearances, both under the name Conviction, Jones moved to Memphis and joined the Fellowship Memphis.
