Chesterfield Kings

The Chesterfield Kings are one of the most important bands to emerge from the garage rock revival that arose as an offshoot of the punk rock explosion in the late 1970s. Initially, the most lovingly accurate act on the scene, they started out playing covers of ultra-obscure '60s singles in a style that merged raucous suburban American teen sounds with the rougher textures of British Invasion groups.
