A New Mexico-born country singer, Chevel Shepherd came to the public's attention as the winner of the 15th season of The Voice in 2018. After the show's finale, she released her debut single "Broken Hearts."
Born in 2002 in La Plata, New Mexico, Shepherd grew up listening to country music, and was introduced to singing by her mother at age two. By the time she was ten, she had already been performing locally for several years and recorded her own covers album.
