California's Cheyo Carrillo is a charming, adept singer and accordionist known for his lyrical take on Mexican banda-styled pop. Born Xavier Carrillo in Los Angeles in 1998, Carrillo grew up attending numerous banda shows with his parents. Fascinated, he began singing around age three and was soon performing under the stage name Xavier "El Cheyo" Carrillo (later shortened to just Cheyo Carrillo).
