Biography
As a member of the backing band for Belfast singer/songwriter Duke Special, percussionist Chip Bailey is known for employing unconventional tools -- including a cheese grater and egg whisk combo -- to achieve his distinctive rhythms and sounds. After playing in bands part-time for several years, Bailey became a more serious musician after the success of Duke Special and released an album, Temperance Society Chronicles, in 2007. He also facilitates drum circles and workshops for schools and corporate seminars through his Rhythmic Connection program. ~ Katherine Fulton
