An aggressive alt-rock outfit from Southern Ontario, Chore emerged during the post-hardcore boom of the mid-'90s. Stalwarts of the influential Canadian indie label Sonic Unyon, they released a trio of albums around the turn of the millennium including 2002's well-received The Coastaline Fire. Although they disbanded in 2004, Chore re-formed occasionally over the ensuing years to play reunion concerts around their native Ontario and released a new single in 2021.
