Violinist Christian Tetzlaff is widely admired for his command of a repertory ranging from Bach to contemporary music. In demand as a concerto soloist, he often plays chamber music as well with his sister Tanja Tetzlaff in the Tetzlaff Quartet. Christian Tetzlaff's recording catalog is impressive, containing not only standard repertory works but also such novelties as an album of violin sonatas by Artur Schnabel. In 2025, he was heard with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in the rarely recorded Two Serenades, Op. 69, and Two Serious Melodies, Op. 77, of Sibelius.
