Christoph Koncz has made major impacts as both violinist and conductor. His stardom began early, at age nine, when he starred in the internationally successful film The Red Violin.
Koncz was born in Konstanz, West Germany, on April 3, 1987. He was descended from a long line of Austrian and Hungarian musicians, and when he was given violin lessons at age four, he quickly took to the instrument.
