Chuuwee

Sacramento, California-based rapper Chuuwee was born Dionte Chuuwee Hunter in 1990. His love of rap bloomed early in his life, but all of his early experiences with music went hand in hand with discouragement and mockery. As a child he wrote poetry, but was laughed out of the room by his family when he attempted to rap over "Greensleeves." Later, as a teenager, he formed a rap group with fellow students, but the other members of the group picked on and belittled Chuuwee's talents.
