Citizen Cain has its origins in London. The year was 1982 and Gordon Feenie and Cyrus, having played together in Not Quite Red Fox, decided to put together a new group. They recruited Tim Taylor and Citizen Cain was born. The group worked together as a three-piece until they broke up in 1988. 1990 saw a reborn Citizen Cain with the lineup being Cyrus, Frank Kennedy, Stewart Bell, Dave Elam, and Chris Colvin.
