Clan of Xymox

A major influence on the darkwave scene, Clan of Xymox are known for their driving, often danceable form of introspective goth rock. The Dutch group became a staple of the 4AD label beginning with the 1985 full-length Clan of Xymox. With 1989's Twist of Shadows, they reclaimed their original moniker, Xymox, and developed a more synth-based sound, even venturing into techno and house with releases like 1992's Metamorphosis.
