Claudio Astronio

Versatile Italian musician Claudio Astronio is active as both a conductor and a keyboardist (on both harpsichord and organ) in music from Baroque to pop and jazz. He leads his own historical performance ensemble, Harmonices Mundi, which has recorded both Italian and German Baroque music. Astronio has a large recording catalog. He made his debut in 1998 as a harpsichordist, releasing several volumes of music by Antonio de Cabezón under the title Obras de Música on the Stradivarius label.
