Although Texas is known primarily for spawning such down and dirty rockers as ZZ Top and Pantera over the years, the early 21st century emergence of a Lone Star State band that was more a kin to such pop/rock chart-toppers as Matchbox Twenty and Third Eye Blind, called Color.
