Industrial metal veterans Contingence began their journey into electronic-based mayhem in 1990, a prime period for the genre. Inspired by the growing Wax Trax scene, founder/vocalist/programmer Xerxes Non began releasing his own sonic experiments that he was building in his house with a limited array of equipment.
