Cord

Austin, TX-based modern rock ensemble Cord is centered around singer/songwriter Cord Carpenter (vocals/guitar/keyboards). Also featured are Robert Garcia (lead guitar), Tommy Munter (bass/vocals), and Johnny Villareal (percussion). Although originally hailing from central Texas, the band caught on locally in Austin and released its debut album, Who You Know, in 2005. Eventually, the band signed with Emerald City Entertainment and released its sophomore effort, Songs for Your Season, in 2007. ~ Matt Collar
