Biography

Pianist Costantino Catena often plays little-known Romantic works and has given world premieres of piano music by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari. He is also a noted educator. Catena has performed at major world venues, including the Kennedy Center in Washington. He has a substantial recording catalog, much of it issued by the Camerata Tokyo label. Catena was born on April 6, 1969, in Polla in southwestern Italy's Salerno province. He attended the Giuseppe Martucci Salerno State Conservatory, studying with Luigi d'Ascoli.
