Crestwood

Rightfully explaining their music as "blues-informed" and "jazz-inspired," the Canadian duo Crestwood are still a pop/rock outfit at heart. After leading the Saskatoon bands Seven Levels and Sexually Attracted to Fire, singer and songwriter Steven Maier formed a six-piece rock band dubbed Crestwood in 2010. That same year they released their debut album, The Movies. A 2011 one-off duo version of Crestwood featuring Maier and band bassist Gent Laird went well enough that it became the official lineup that same year.
