Biography

b. Howard Hausey, 1939, Minden, Louisiana, USA, d. 1994. Hausey began his career as a baseball player until injury forced him to change direction. As Howard Crockett he wrote ‘Honky Tonk Man', ‘Ole Slew-Foot' and ‘Whispering Pines' for Johnny Horton. Crockett recorded for several small US country labels with musicians that included Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer and the Jordanaires.
