El Dasa is the stage name of Sonoran pop singer Dasahev López Saavedra. He began singing while still in his early teens and entered many competitions and eventually landing a spot in the last edition of Mexico's La Academia 6: Última Generación, but he was eliminated in the second round. Undaunted, he emigrated to Los Angeles at 18, and continued singing wherever he could and working odd jobs. El Dasa eventually secured a job as a driver for various Spanish-speaking musicians, actors, and dignitaries when they visited the United States. He landed a position as Mexican rancher...
