Daniel Gaede is a German violinist, born in Hamburg. On graduating from high school, he studied with Thomas Brandis in Berlin, Max Rostal in Switzerland, and Josef Gingold in the United States. The winner of many scholarships and international awards, Gaede won the Artists International Competition in New York, which led to a performance at Carnegie Hall in 1992. Gaede has appeared as a soloist with several major orchestras, and has toured Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
