Dark Fortress

Dark Fortress is a German progressive black metal band. Initially a melodic black metal outfit, they independently released a cassette demo titled The Rebirth of the Dark Age in 1996. After honing their touring chops for several years, they released Tales from Eternal Dusk, their 2001 debut album. They followed two years later with Profane Genocidal Creations. 2004's Stab Wounds (produced by guitarist V. Saturna) broke through.
