Biography
b. 11 June 1926, Jackson, Tennessee, USA. Vocalist ‘Brother' Dave Gardner first hit the US charts in 1957 with a rendition of ‘White Silver Sands', which climbed into the Top 30. He achieved no UK success; in fact the only single released was ‘Hop Along Rock' on Brunswick Records in 1958. From 1960-63 he charted in with four comedy albums under the name ‘Brother Dave', includingRejoice, Dear Hearts! andKick Thy Own Self, which both made the US Top 5 in 1960.
