Biography
A highly regarded pianist, Dave Meder is known for his harmonically sophisticated approach to post-bop and modern creative jazz. Influenced by jazz icons like Thelonious Monk, Jaki Byard, and Bill Evans, as well as classical modernists like Philip Glass, Meder first garnered attention in the 2010's while attending NYU and Juilliard. Following his move to the University of North Texas, where he holds the position of Assistant Professor of Jazz Piano, he issued his 2019 debut album Passage.
