David Childs

David Childs is a British euphonium virtuoso known for his rich tone, astounding technique, and captivating stage presence. Also a passionate advocate for new music, he has premiered 15 euphonium concertos. Born in 1981, Childs began learning to play the euphonium from his father, Robert, when he was very young. He earned his Associate of the Royal College of Music in 1997, and it was also around this time when he recorded his debut album, Prodigy, with the Brighouse & Rastrick Band led by his father.
