Biography

David Korevaar is a versatile pianist who has emphasized contemporary music and chamber music in his recordings and concerts. He is also an important educator. Korevaar has a substantial recording catalog that includes works by Beethoven as well as albums devoted to lesser-known composers, including Lowell Liebermann. In 2025, he began a cycle of Beethoven's piano sonatas with the album Heroic to Hammerklavier. Korevaar was born on July 25, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin, but grew up in La Jolla, California.
