David Lowery

An unlikely star of alternative rock, David Lowery has spun his eclectic musical outlook and offbeat sense of humor into a series of songs that have made his bands favorites in underground rock circles and afforded him a brief fling with mainstream success. Lowery led the group Camper Van Beethoven, whose 1985 debut Telephone Free Landslide Victory made them college radio stars, and 1988's Our Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart spawned an MTV hit, "Eye of Fatima (Pt. 2)."
