David Ludwig

David Ludwig is a contemporary American composer of orchestral, vocal, and chamber music whose works have appeared on several critically acclaimed recordings. Also a devoted educator, he is the Dean and Director of Music at the Juilliard School and has held teaching and composing residencies at dozens of other schools, ensembles, and festivals. He was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1974, and with a lineage consisting of Peter Serkin, Rudolf Serkin, and Adolf Busch, he grew up in a very musical family.
