Biography
A deep-toned vocalist whose early recordings with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes had some fans thinking Teddy Pendergrass was using an alias, David Ebo became the group's lead vocalist in 1976. Although they had passed their prime, Ebo's singing on the singles "Praying" and "Hang on in There" generated widespread interest in him as a lead act. Ebo later recorded his own solo LP, but it generated virtually no reaction or response. ~ Ron Wynn
