Deadstar

The Australian band Deadstar formed out of necessity. Guitarist Barry Palmer (of Hunters & Collectors and Melbourne session drummer Peter Jones had completed tracks for a film score and were in need of lyrics and vocals. They enlisted ex-Plums singer Caroline Kennedy and, although little came of the film, the three chose to make their artistic union a going concern. In the UK, Discordant Records picked up the single "Valentine's Day," selling through the initial pressing.
