Dennis Waterman

b. 24 January 1948, Clapham, London, England. Better known as an actor on British television, Dennis Waterman also had a briefly successful singing career in the early 80s. He recorded his first two albums while playing DS George Carter in late 70s police drama The Sweeney. With a typically boisterous delivery matching the tempestuous nature of his character, neither album managed to chart.
