An engaging, often exploratory pianist, Denny Zeitlin began his career in the '60s crafting intimate, deeply harmonic acoustic jazz. Issuing albums like 1964's Cathexis and 1967's Zeitgeist, he also balanced his highly respected musical career with his other profession as a practicing psychiatrist and professor.
