Diego Cortez

Singer/songwriter Diego Cortez was born James Curtis (b. 1946) prior to adopting his artist moniker in 1973. A well-respected lecturer, professor, and author, Cortez is more of an explorer when it comes to being involved in the music industry. He has directed videos for the Talking Heads, Nico, and Blondie, performed with Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson, and served as an art advisor for Christie's and Sotheby's in NYC.
