Dietrich Henschel, Helmut Deutsch

Baritone Dietrich Henschel's career has encompassed the music of composers as diverse as Bach and Henze on stage and in concert and recital halls. He has had an international career focusing especially on art song and orchestral song. Henschel was born in Berlin in 1967 but grew up mostly in Nuremberg, where his father was an art educator. He started playing the recorder at age four and quickly showed musical talent.
