Dipstick

Dipstick is largely the project of multi-instrumentalist Greg Reeves, who composed and produced all the music on the 2000 release Transistor Rodeo. He also played bass, synthesizer, sampler, guitar, percussion, turntable, guitarron, and vice grips, with a quartet of others pitching in some other sounds. The all-instrumental album is a witty and often catchy mix of retro rock sounds, modern ambient music, cheesy mid-20th century easy listening-type signatures, quality soundtrack-type composition, and more. ~ Richie Unterberger
