Diva is the solo project of Los Angeles' Diva Dompe, formerly of the bands BlackBlack, which also featured her sister Lola and Phantom Planet's Alex Greenwald, and Pocahaunted, which also included Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno. Dompe, also a member of the L.A. Ladies Choir, struck out on her own in 2010, releasing her debut album, The Glitter End, on cassette late that year.
