DJ Japa NK is the stage name of Adenilton Sapucaia dos Santos, a Brazilian funk DJ, producer, singer, and songwriter. Born in the outskirts of São Paulo to a family of Japanese descent (hence the nickname "Japa"), he was raised in a small town outside Bahia where he began dabbling in disc jockeying as a teen, under the influence of EDM stars such as Martin Garrix and David Guetta.
