Dominique Fils-Aimé

Dominique Fils-Aimé is a multi-JUNO Award-winning Montreal-based singer and composer. Her smoky alto instrument is but one expression in a multi-octave range from contralto to soprano. Her first three albums were a trilogy focused on the history of Black North American culture that influenced the development of blues, jazz, R&B, and soul in North America. She composes or co-composes the vast majority of her songs. Nameless, her 2018 debut album confronted historical silences and sorrows through blues.
