b. Donovan George Pinnock, 2 December 1964, Victoria Town, Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies. During his formative years Don-A-V studied mechanical engineering and the arts although his first love was music. He initially performed in church as a singer although following his education at the local Holmwood Technical college he decided to pursue a career in the dancehall as a DJ.
